Real Estate Internet sites. Do they help or hurt buyers and sellers?
Times certainly have changed when a consumer can shop in their pajamas for a home. Click on the home and get assigned to any realtor. Most likely one that will answer their phone after they get home from their 9-5 job, jumping for joy to get that second real estate lead of the year.
Next step schedule a showing, agent writes up an offer. Buyer goes to joe Shmo mortgage company for a prequal. Home inspection time!  Oh my major issues because Billy Bob Realtor doesn't guide the buyer on cosmetic issues vs required repairs. House doesn't appraise because buyers lender from 5 states away doesn't know the local market and the sale falls apart. The seller is packed and ready to move into their new home, paid a mover, gave notice to their job, transferred kids out of schools, etc.
my answer to the Internet resources out there is I am not a fan. Consumers don't get educated on the most important investment of their life. Hire the right Realtor. Call Janet Larsen today and see what your he is worth. 856-261-6910
