I recently pondered this dilemma myself. I saw a stream of them walking from an outside wall to my dishwasher. I sprayed them and their path with Raid. Although I never could find out the exact location where they were coming in, after spraying a few times they disappeared.
 A few days later, however; I saw them walking in another part of my kitchen. These were the same little tiny black ants. I would get rid of the ones I saw but then would see more the next time I entered the kitchen. I was so tired of seeing ants!
Luckily, within a few days I had a visit from my brother’s family from Baton Rouge. My sister-in-law mentioned she had had ant problems recently and one of her sisters-in-law recommended a product. She tried it and it worked like a charm. She gave me the name, I purchased it and voila, the ants are gone.
