Staying Safe in Blizzard Conditions
Snow? What Snow?

This is the view out my kitchen window Tuesday, January 7th 2014.  Western New York is in the midst of a blizzard and state of emergency.  Can you tell by my photo?
No really, it's pretty bad outside.  Just 10 minutes later I couldn't see my car due to blowing snow.
It is freezing out (wind chills below zero), visibility goes from A-OK to nothing in seconds, schools and businesses declared closings for Tuesday on Monday night and nearly 150 miles of thruway is closed from Rochester, NY to the PA State Line due to the weather.  It is serious.
But in my neck of the woods it's just really cold and blowing snow.  I don't want to be out there and haven't been; it's been a stay in my PJ's, shower and put new PJ's on kinda day.  And what else is there to do but blog about it.  Are you ready in case of a winter emergency?
