Maine Land On A Lake, Building On A Waterfront Lot, Shoreland Zoning.
You are toying with buying Maine land on a lake, building on a waterfront lot so tell me about shoreland zoning. Gladly.
Is the lot build-able means will it pass a soil test, septic system design to accommodate what you have in mind to construct on the lot?
A soil test with a HHE 200 site plan will layout the design, determine if you need a pump to reach a leach field or not.
And the leach field is designed to handle 90 gallons of per day per bedroom.
Many folks think the number of bathrooms determines the size, type of the required state approved leach field and septic system, for sewerage disposal. No, it's the bedroom count. And while we are at it, what is the minimum lot size for building in Maine?
Will the structure you want to build on the Maine waterfront land fit on the lot.
Without more land being bought for a leach field across the road to make more room.
With the side lines and set back from the roadway.
And the at least 100 feet from the Maine lake all happen in the puzzle piecing together your building lot for new construction?
Find out before you buy the Maine ... more
