 The State of the Union, are we in trouble? Do we Care?
My wife who has been sitting across the room from me in my office for the past few hours working hard on our taxes just decided to take a break and asked me to put something on the TV.
So I did and noticed that the State of the Union was on, which she did not want to watch so I did a little surfing around and was surprised to find that my standby channel, the History Channel did not even have anything relating to this great event in mock reporting.  I was expecting something on national government and maybe a little history on the state of the union, but no they were covering “Counting Cars” for the occasion. 
I guess that the History Channel who claims to care about such things as history and government has also given up on treating such an important event as the state of the union with any real credence.
I think that most thinking individuals and many who do not, have given up on the State of the Union address, not because it is not important, it really should be important.  ... more
