Digital vs. Paper contracts. What's your preference?
When I started in real estate December 2008 digital contracts and signature were just coming out and very few agents used them. I was a member of the Las Vegas board of realtors and they were using Docusign which came in handy while working with out of state clients.
I always preferred paper contracts, however this year I am trying to make the switch to digital and doing contracts right on the iPad with signatures and all.
Here a short list why I am trying to make the switch:
1) No more mysterious handwriting, everything is clear since it is typed cutting down on confusion.
2) Within minuets of writing an offer the listing agent can have it in their inbox, saving time and paper.
3) My clients have a copy the minuet all signatures are done in their inbox for their records.
The problem comes up when one agent does not want to learn or work with digital. In my experience I would say about 30% of agents I work with still prefer to fax or e-fax.
