Get your financing in order. If you are purchasing cash, make sure to communicate the budget you have established to your real estate agent. If you will be securing a loan make sure to get your loan application in process. In today’s market you must establish the ability to purchase a property at the time of offer. Meaning, for a cash purchase you need to provide proof of funds from the institution holding the funds OR for a financed purchase have a pre-qualification letter from a mortgage lender.
