Ideas for Spending Time with Your Grandchildren
 When you retire grandchildren are an important part of life.  They bring you joy, love, and a sense of pride.  If you spend a lot of time with them, it can be difficult to think of new ways to have fun.  Here is a list of five wonderful ways to spend time with your grandkids.
 1.      Create an established pattern of activity
Children feel safe when they have routines especially when it comes to routinely spending time with their grandparents.  Establish simple patterns of fun activities that they can expect to do when they come see you.  Maybe it is playing with a special toy when they arrive or reading their favorite book.  Keep a container in the kitchen full with special cookies so that way they know when they come over that they can go into the kitchen and get a special treat. 
2.      Make something together Children love hands on activities no matter where they go.  They learn by doing.  You can teach them how to bake cookies, pies, or create a special recipe.  If you have a pottery wheel or clay lying around, you can help them to create a masterpiece ... more
