Essay Scholarship Contest open to Thurston County, WA students
My brokerage, Coldwell Banker Evergreen Olympic Realty, Inc. in Olympia, WA is holding its annual essay scholarship contest for high school student in Thurston County.  First place is a $1,000 scholarship!  (Second prize is $750 and third prize is $500.) 
Unlike many scholarships, this is open to all high school age students, not just seniors.  As long as you are either a resident of Thurston County, WA or attend a school located in Thurston County, you are eligible.

What?  The theme is "What Makes a House a Home?"  All eligible contestants may enter one essay up to 500 words that describes "what makes your house a home?"  Contestants will be judged on the organization of thoughts, proper grammar and spelling, creativity, effectiveness of main point and judges' subjectivity and opinions.
When?  Submission to the contest is April 14 - May 4, 2014.  The winner will be selected June 2, 2014.
Where?  Submit essays to Coldwell Banker Evergreen Olympic's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cbolympia.
