First Real Estate Transaction - Nerves and Support
Buying your first home can be scary.     Having your first transaction as a real estate agent be for a first time home buyer is even scarier.  Ok, well I thought so. And that is precisely what my first real estate transaction was.  All nerves and hiccups in the transaction aside (and there were hiccups), I was very fortunate; from the clients that I worked with to the education and support my brokerage provides.   Nerves Enter Joan & Eric. I worked with Joan in a previous life.  When she and her fiance decided to start looking for a home she remembered me.  Hooray!  They both were aware that I was new to real estate but had confidence that I would find them the right home for the right price.  Also, having worked with Joan, she knew that if I didn't know something that I would find out.   They had one particular home in mind.  If this wasn't The One they were planning on waiting a year and saving more.  Needless to say, it wasn't The One and they did keep looking.  We had a routine.  Once we got in the home we'd locate the basement.  Eric would check it out while Joan and I waited patiently.  If ... more
