What's Your Small Business Footprint?
Small Business Footprint is a term I made up to play on Global Footprint.  I might need to explain Global Footprint to a few; it's the physical impact you make by consumption. In the GREEN world we talk about natural resource consumption, waste, pollution, etc. If you buy stuff, is it long-lasting? Do you need it? How much landfill will it consume?
The Small Business Footprint is similar in that it's about the impact you can have on your community by supporting local; Go Local.  I was Googling something when Happy Small Business Day appeared on my search bar and thought I'd check into this a bit. It turns out, there was a link to join a Google+ Small Business Networking Group which of course I joined.
I posted something for the day, besides an introduction, "Given that today is Small Business Day - What are you going to do to support the community?  Me? I think I will eat lunch at a local family owned restaruant and stop by a local grocer start-up called inGredients.  A cool name for a cool organic local procurement place. "
