First Time Home Buyer Finds Starter Home In Tonawanda NY
Last week, first time home buyer John C. purchased a 4 bed 1 bath single family home in Tonawanda NY.  
And I had the pleasure of helping him do that =)
 

 
We began his search in October 2013 with just a price range in mind; no pre-approval, no location and no direction as to what kind of home was desired.  I strongly recommended a pre-approval before we went any further. Without one, the closest he could get to homes was checking out open houses. Once that was locked in, we him refined his search criteria to meet his needs and wants: a basement, short commute to work and large enough yard for a dog to run in.
After viewing roughly a dozen homes, negotiations took place for the purchase of a home on Fairfield Avenue in Tonawanda NY late March 2014.  It's a simple and cozy Cape Cod style home with all the elements he desired. Especially the yard for his puppy. The low housing inventory and multiple offers around every corner didn’t allow for price negotiations but the home inspection concerns were addressed and remedied. We closed in just 45 days!
