Looking For the Perfect House, Deep In The Heart of Texas
 
 
Showing houses in the rain yesterday proved to be fun for my Buyer and me. Typically, I don't chauffeur people around in my car, but yesterday sounded like a good idea. I asked my client if he wanted to leave his car at the first house where we met and ride with me. 
 
You can learn a lot about people when you show houses. A house has it's own style and personality. Buyers will either be attracted to the property or not. Whether the house is contemporary, traditional, or a custom home that an owner decided to add on to the property without an architect or a builder is quite obvious. But people have style and personality too. Driving around Carrollton with my client, I discovered he has his own style and personality and I got to know him better. Could it be because we weren't focused on looking, but rather listening? 
 
While driving back to Flower Mound, the rain had stopped. The sky was a deeper shade of blue with a streak of pink at the bottom of a violet sky. Was this the beginning of a rainbow or just the setting of the sun, across the globe? ... more
