If you're looking for places to see or something to do, maybe check out the Redlands real estate historical site of Kimberly Crest House and Gardens. The Kimberly Crest House is an estate located in Southern Redlands, California. The estate and house is a Victorian Chateau that was built by Mrs. Cornelia Hill after losing four daughters and her husband to tuberculosis, and moving to Redlands from New York. In 1896, inspired by a castle she visited in France, she bought the over six acres for $3,000 and spent another $10,000 to build the castle-like home that served as the foundation of the mansion we see today. In 1905 she moved to Carlsbad and sold the property to John Alfred and Helen Cheney Kimberly, John Kimberly being one of the founding members of the Kimberly-Clark paper company.
Kimberly Crest House and Gardens 
The Kimberly's added the landscaped gardens and added the family name-sake to the sprawling property.
