Flooded Basements
I seem to run into this issue often with new home builds. I always have a deep concern with basement flooding with certain builders in particular in ohio. Im sure you all know which I speak of. My clients moved into their new home on friday after a speedy 3 month build in mayfield. Within 48 hours there basement was flooded a foot. We were assured through 4 inspections conducted by builders and energy star that the home is sound- Foundation in particular. My clients almost did not go with this particular builder due to bad reviews. We were assured over and over again that this foundation will not flood. Now I have angry new homeowners and a mess to boot. Do you all find this to be a continuous issue with new home builds? Or is this a specific issue with a specific builder?
