Windsurfing is a very popular sport on the island of Maui. Places like Kanaha Beach Park are island destinations, people from all over the world come to spend a week, or six months.  Hookipa Beach Park also attracts many visitors and pro windsurfers to Maui's most premier windsurfing spot. The Aloha Classic is returning this fall, where the best in the  world show up for windsurf competition. So when your visiting Maui, make sure you head out to Maui's northshore.
So if you're drawn to Maui by the many water sports, windsurfing on Maui is the capital of windsurfing in the world.
