New Hampshire Housing Market Recovery in Gradual Upward Swing!

NH housing market recovery is gradual but firmly upward. By Peter Francese The New Hampshire Association of REALTORS hosted a meeting on October 10 titled "Real Estate by the Numbers." The keynote speaker was Dr. Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist for the NAR. For anyone who missed his excellent presentation, here are a few key points:
Home sales are rising, inventory is very low & foreclosures are falling Housing affordability is best ever and pent-up demand is high Economy is slowly recovering and stock market has risen sharply Therefore, Dr. Yun believes home prices will rise steadily over the next few years. That's the good news he reported. Now the not-so-good news:
Household mobility (people changing their residence) is at record lows New Hampshire job growth and population growth is nearly zero Mortgage lenders have severely tightened their lending standards All of Dr. Yun's PowerPoint slides, and additional information from the event, can be found by clicking here.
