Philadelphia Museum of Art has the Famous Rocky Steps
Philadelphia Museum of Art has the Famous Rocky Steps
Recently I was in Philadelphia, PA and we stopped at the Museum of Art which is a very impressive building and has about 200 steps (approx) going up to the top to enter the museum.
2600 Bejamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia PA 19130 (215) 763-8100

This building sits on the top of the Bejamin Franklin Parkway and is the third largest museum in the United States. But what else is this buildings claim to fame you ask? It is the steps that the fictional character "Rocky Balboa" ran up in his movie played by the imfamous Sylvester Stallone. In 1980, Stallone had a life size bronze statue placed at the bottom of the steps.
Philadelphia is a fantastic city and has so much to see. I love to go there at least once or twice a year and go site seeing every day. I just love the city.♥
*I read recently that this spot is the second most favorite location for filming movies in the world.
The next time you are in Philadelphia, go see the Rocky steps and statue. Also, try to find the time to go inside and enjoy the museum.
