To Show or Not to Show a Home on Christmas?
There were a few recent posts on the Raise the Bar in Real Estate Facebook Group regarding Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day showings. One post even got a little heated and a bit off topic. I think showing or not showing a home during the holidays topic falls under the same category of agents working 24/7/365 and those who set their own hours and limits. My thoughts are always - to each their own. You run your business the way you want and I'll run mine the way I want.
The same falls for showing homes on Christmas Eve or Christmas. If you celebrate both holidays and choose not to show homes on these days - that's your choice in how you run your business. If you are working on these holidays and have buyers who want to see homes, don't be afraid of insulting the listing agent or the seller. Call the listing agent (or whatever the show instructions are) and let the seller decide if he or she wants to show their home on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
