Weather Advisory
Even if you don’t live in an area impacted by snow or ice this week, weather, at certain times of the year, does affect everyone.  If you are a homeowner trying to sell your property, traffic slows or comes to a halt in bad weather conditions.  If you are a buyer, it becomes challenging to schedule showings and rely on the availability of properties.
There is good news about bad weather, however.  If you are a seller, a snow day offers an opportunity to organize closets, catch up on paperwork or undone items on your “to do” list.  If you have children and school is cancelled, enlist their help in operation organization.
If, however, you are a buyer in search of a property, spend some time online researching towns and neighborhoods.  If you know exactly where you want to live, go on the town website to read minutes from council, zoning or committee meetings.  Interview real estate agents either by phone or email to assess their responsiveness and knowledge of the market.
As a real estate agent, snow days are a great time to catch up on continuing education, database updates, or to make phone calls to expired listings or FSBOs.
