Google Warns: Un-Mobile Friendly Sites Will Lose Their Ranking
This just hit my desk this afternoon -- I will be going into this in depth but here is what I found out.
Google is making changes in its algorithm to ensure that websites will be able to deliver well on their SERPS, (search engine result pages).

Lets just look at a few of these:
FLASH - The big thing here is that Flash is pretty much over. There are alternatives to this kind of animation that are found on the Google development site.

The idea here is that creating these animations are tedius. I would stick to video and slideshows.

SITEMAPS - You need sitemaps folks. Good ones. Not the ones you make yourself. I still see a lot of confusion surrouding this term. Some think it actually means top tourist spots in your local area! But in actuality this refers to the number of pages on your site and how they lay out in your site structure. The spider (crawler) bots need to access all of your pages so it can index them properly.
