Real Estate Groups VS Teams. What's The Difference?
Las Vegas, Nevada -- As in any industry, competition leads to innovation. Back in the 1990s, Real Estate teams began to populate the landscape and offered Buyers and Sellers competitive advantages versus working with traditional individual Real Estate agents. (i.e. Why work with just one agent when you can have a team of agents working on your behalf?) As a result, today’s Real Estate marketplace offers a choice between working with a traditional individual agent, or with a Real Estate team.
To further complicate matters, a new trend has emerged. Some agents have opted to work together, yet instead of referring to themselves as a “Team” they have chosen to call themselves a “Group.” Is there a difference between a Real Estate Group versus a Real Estate Team? We did some research and uncovered some interesting results.
Webster’s dictionary defines the terms “Group” and “Team” as follows:
GROUP: Two or more individuals sharing common interests or characteristics.
TEAM: Two or more individuals working together to achieve a common goal.
