Winter is not my favorite season, but I don't hate it.  Personally, I love snow.  If it's going to be cold, it might as well snow.  That's my feeling.  The arctic temperatures we're experiencing in the Bristow, VA area are brutal, and I have to say, I am not a fan.  
Northern Virginia is not known for bitter cold winters.  And we aren't known for snow either.  Being a native of the area, I can tell you that it's about every ten years that we have an abundance of snow in winter.  Since we had that in 2009-2010, I don't think we're due for another for a while.  These temperatures in the teens, with biting winds, has got to stop.

This is a photo I snapped of the man made water feature in our office's shopping center this afternoon.  I feel bad for the geese.  They came south for the winter to get away from the cold.  Look at them all huddled on the ices with their heads tucked into their bodies.  Brrrr.
