Tip to get your satellite TV back on in the snow.
It is snowing in Dahlonega Georgia now. Our satellite TV went out a little while ago. To get it going I took a jug of water and a cup outside and spent the next few minutes tossing cups of water at the dish on our roof. When snow builds up in the dish it will not work.
Please keep in mind the most important thing is to stay safe, If you can't toss water on it or maybe spray it with a hose DO NOT GO UP ON YOUR SNOW COVERED ROOF. Doing without TV for a little while is not has bad as getting hurt or even killed falling off the roof.
