The Perfect Mai Tai Recipe

Our friends and family love to indulge in tropical drinks when they visit us on Kauai. Mai Tais are a favorite. If you've ever made a Mai Tai, or tried them at various restaurants, you already know that some recipes are much better than others. Here's the recipe voted best by our friends. It a modification of  Molly's Maui recipe.
The Perfect Mai Tai
 
You’ll need a cocktail shaker with a strainer or the equivalent, plus high ball glasses and straws. The following makes 2 Mai Tais so multiply for whatever number you need.
Prepare Ahead: Shave or finely crush enough ice to fill the high ball glasses. Put the ice back in the freezer until you are ready to pour your drinks. That way the ice won’t melt and it will properly chill your Mai Tai.
Ingredients:
3 oz. light rum*
3 oz. dark rum*
1 oz. Grand Marnier
2 oz. pineapple juice (fresh is best but canned/frozen is OK)
2 oz. guava juice
