I've had many Home Staging clients ask me to help them choose a real estate agent.  I'm very happy to give the names of agents I've worked with and trust, but ultimately the decision is yours to make.
I suggest meeting with several agents and find the one you are most comfortable with. Personality is a major factor in finding the one that is right for you. 
Listen carefully when listing price is discussed. Price should not be based on what you think you should get, or what you need to get. The market determines price and you want an agent that knows your market. Choose the agent that does the best job justifying their suggested listing price.
Listening is not enough when marketing is discussed. Seeing is believing. Check the agent's listings....the pictures they use in the MLS will tell you a lot about their concept of marketing. 
If they aren't serious about MLS pictures,  you shouldn't be serious about letting them market your most valuable asset.  How Important are MLS Pictures?
 
When choosing a real estate agent consider this:
How impressed are you with the preparation and presentation of their marketing plan?
