Annual Old North End Yard Sale June 13th
Colorado Springs Old North End neighborhood is hosting its 9th annual yard sale this weekend. Every year close to a hundred home owners participate in this much-anticipated summer event. Spend the morning strolling beneath canopy trees and admiring the historical houses while browsing through yard sale treasures.
 
Visitors can print a map of the homes offering sales to better plan their route and be sure not to miss anything. Keep your eyes out for those selling concessions to refuel along your way. In previous years one woman sold homemade breakfast burritos that were restaurant worthy. 
 
For those with young children, Monument Valley park is just to the west of the neighborhood with a public playground and outdoor swimming pool. Just south of the Old North End, Colorado Springs' bustling downtown is home to local eateries, shopping, and entertainment.
 
After lunch, grab a glass of wine to enjoy during a movie at Kimball's Theater, which features independent and critically acclaimed films. Before heading home, stop next door at Josh & John's for ice cream and walk down to Uncle Wilber's fountain to cool off.
 
Saturday is expected to be mostly mostly cloudy in the low 70's but come prepared with sunscreen and an umbrella to savor another Colorado weekend.
