Nappanee Apple Festival - September 17 - 20, 2015.
Home of the 7 ft, 800 pound Apple Pie, Nappanee will celebrate the 40th annual Apple Festival.  Bins of Apples will be on the sidewalks around town loaded with apples. Two entertainment stages, 60 commercial vendors and 130 Craft vendors will be on hand as well as Carnival rides.
Some of the events over the 4 day period will be the Apple Festival parade with a military fly-over, Miss Apple Blossom scholarship pageant, cornhole tournament, apple baking contest, Garden tractor pull, adult pedal pull, wings & wheels show at the airport, 5K run and half marathon, as well as the apple peeling and pie eating contest.
The festival starts at 5:00 pm, on Thursday, September 17th and ends at 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 20th.
If you like apples, they have everything apples, such as:
Apple Pie,
Apple fritters,
Apple Dumplings,
Apple Turnovers,
Apple Fry Pies,
Apple Bread,
Apple Sauce,
Apple Cider
and Apple Butter.
