A Tip to those start off in their new career from a seasoned veteran
The best advice for anyone in the real estate industry and perhaps it works for most others is to nurture your image with your fellow professions in the industry. Clients, Buyers and Seller change regularly but the people in the industry can remain for the next 20 or 30 years. Your reputation with these people will live and either carry you through tough times or haunt you for the length of your career.
We have been through one of the worst downturns that real estate and our nations economy has ever been forced to endure. The Realtors, Lenders, Title Reps, Escrow Officers, Home Inspectors and Termite Companies that had good reputations survived at a rate that far exceeded those with a bad or negative reputation. Their offers may have been passed up or their services just were not utilized when hiring someone or accepting an offer meant someone would be around to see another day.
Good Times feed everyone but tough times it's not survival of the fittest it's survival of those that have been fair, honest, profession and caring.
