Foaming Pipes Can Mean A Gas Leak
 
 
A proven way to test for leaking gas pipes is to spray soapy water on the joints. If there is a leak, the soapy water will bubble up and be visible. I ran across this a while ago behind an apartment building and notified the manager at  Cameron Park apartment community. No one seemed to be aware of any testing, and I was there early in the morning. This form of testing usually only last for a few minutes then the water dries up and needs to be sprayed again. Not sure why this foaming lasted so long.
