Home Prices Up, 8 Out of 23 Towns in Fairfield County, Ct. - 2015.
With data collected from the local Multiple Listing Services (MLS) of Fairfield County shows that average single family home sale prices have risen when compared to 2014 in 8 out of the 23 towns.
Westport - 6.2% Darien – 5.4% Weston -4.1% Brookfield – 2.7% Trumbull – 2.7% Fairfield – 1.7% Monroe – 0.9% Danbury – 0.5% The biggest drops in average home sold prices are in Greenwich at -9.9%, Shelton at -7.8% and New Canaan at -6.5%
On the bright side more homes have sold in Fairfield County with a total of 8,042 up 8.7% compared to 2014. Out of the 23 town in Fairfield County 16 report an increase in single family unit homes sold with the top ten being:
Redding – 41.4% Bethel – 32.9% Monroe – 30% Stratford – 25.6% Fairfield – 21.8% Shelton – 18.5% Stamford – 15.3% Danbury – 10.2% Bridgeport – 10.2% Norwalk – 8.5% The towns with the highest average sale price for 2015 are:
Greenwich - $2,423,297 New Canaan - $1,827,595 Darien - $1,744.684 Westport - $1,646,444 Rowayton (Norwalk) - $1,273,027
