Soar With The Eagles Or Fly With The Turkeys | It's Your Decision!!

The market must be improving because the influx of newly licensed agents seems to be increasing.  There are many new members who write post and ask questions seeking direction and information on how to become successful in real estate.
It’s difficult to be “green,” but whether one is new or seasoned, the key to success can be stated in one simple sentence.  “It’s not what you know but who you know” that leads the way to a successful career in real estate.
Not only was I an example of this happening 38 years ago, but I’ve witnessed many successful agents beginning a career because of knowing the “right people.”  The “right people” could be a builder; or it could be a banker; or an attorney; or a number of other professionals that interact with people who will be future clients. 
How many times have Broker/Owners/Managers shown enthusiasm after interviewing a newly licensed agent with the “right name” or the “right family contacts” that will lift the entire office to a different level?
Very few newly licensed agents have the right contacts, but it’s not difficult to find or search out those people.  That’s what “networking” is all about. It’s certainly a slower method than ... more
