Tips to Selling Your Home in the Snow and Winter
As I sit hear in anticipation of the first blizzard of 2016 which is to hit New Jersey through the night, I'm thinking there's no better time than now to write a post featuring tips to selling your home in the snow and winter.  Selling your home in the winter brings its own challenges, but selling your home in the snow brings even more. 
Follow these tips to selling your home in the snow and winter:
1.  Shovel everything! Dig out the for sale sign! Shovel out the driveway, walkway, stairs, sidewalks, deck, back door walkout so that they are clear of snow AND ice. Use salt vs. sand because sand tends to leave dirty floors.  Remember to shovel a path from the street to the sidewalk so buyers aren't climbing over mounds of snow. If you have a driveway and live on a street where parking is difficult, especially in snowy weather, it's a good idea to move your car out of the driveway so there's a place for the buyers  to park.   Having a functional doormat at the front door will help keep your floors clean.  If you prefer no shoes during snowy showings, have booties available at the door.
