Henderson ZIP code 89011 is in northeast Henderson, generally including everything north of Lake Mead Parkway and east of the I-515 freeway. This area is just 10 minutes from the Galleria Mall, 15 from downtown Henderson, and 25-30 minutes from the excitement of the Las Vegas Strip or the relaxation of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
There is plenty of new residential and commercial development in 89011 including Henderson Hospital (opening Fall 2016), Cowabunga Bay Water Park (opened 2014), and the Cadence master planned community which will have more than 13,000 homes at completion. New home construction has also started again at Lake Las Vegas.
Most homes in 89011 are zoned for C.T. Sewell Elementary, Mahlon Brown Junior High, and Basic High School, although there is some variation. (Verify school zoning here.) Lake Mead Christian Academy and Pinecrest Academy will operate private schools in Cadence.
