Duplex Demand in Lubbock
Duplexes in Lubbock are selling like hotcakes!   Duplexes are a nice option for individuals or families who want a bit more privacy than they are afforded in apartments and who are not quite ready to take the home ownership plunge.  An investor is meeting me at the office tomorrow.  He expressed some interest in purchasing a duplex.  When I did a search of our multiple listing service, I was shocked to see that there were a only 6 duplexes for sale now in Lubbock.   I did a look back and found that in the last 2 weeks, 13 duplexes have gone under contract.  Amazing.
We had a surge of duplex construction in 2008-2009.  I think it is time for more to be built!  
If you know of anyone who owns a duplex and has thought about selling, call me!  Now is a good time to sell.
