Best 8 Camping Sites near the Central Coast, CA
 
Ready for an outdoor adventure?  Our area boast some of the best weather and scenic locations in CA.  Most campsites are only 1- 2 hours driving distance from Santa Maria/Orcutt CA and located in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County, so you don't have to spend a lot of time on the road and more time enjoying your recreational adventure.   This list does not include all the local campsites but I note my favorite locations from closest to farthest.  Click links below for more info. 
 
1) Oceano Campgrounds / Pismo Beach, CA.
2) Pismo State North Beach Campground, Pismo Beach, CA
3) El Chorro Regional Park / San Luis Obispo, CA
3) Lake Cachuma / Santa Barbara, CA
4) Morro Bay State Park / Morro Bay, CA
5) San Simeon State Park / Near Hearst Castle
6) King City Campground (Monterey Co. 2 hours drive)
7) Pinnacles Campground (Monterey Co. - 2.5 hours drive)
8) Buena Vista Recreational Area (Kern County, Near Taft, CA)
 
Most locations require a minimal 6 months advance reservations so plan ahead.  Memories last a lifetime.
