Overcoming any addiction is tough.  I find it easier to "JUST SAY NO!" to everything.  Well, maybe not everything but certainly most things.  Especially those that make demands of my financial resources.
By the time you get your real estate license it doesn't take long to realize that there are no shortage of people trying to "sell" you. 
Websites, CRMs, leads, lead gen, marketing material, widgets, apps...
It's certainly easy enough to spend far more than you make trying to make just a little more.  Searching for that Secret Sauce that will make you more productive, get you more leads or earn you more referrals can be an addiction in and of itself.
I'm not a very good resource for helping you determine which of these tactics actually pays dividends.  My toolbox remains limited to a website, a blog within my site, a blog on ActiveRain, social media and networking.
