Send Your Children to Whitman HS -Regional WINNERS on It's Academic
In a very exciting game on Saturday, the team from Whitman High School beat the Centennial High School Team from Ellicott City, MD and Robert E Lee High School, the Staunton Virginia team in the Washington -Baltimore - Central Virginia Super Bowl.

Eighty one schools in the DC metro area (including Montgomery County and Northern Virginia) start the competition in the fall. Similarly eighty one schools in Central Virginia and the Baltimore area start their competition in the fall, and magically in late spring, we are left with a winner from each region, who then compete with each other in a Super Bowl Championship! 
This year's game was very exciting.  Centennial looked like it would be the winner until nearly the end of the competition when Whitman pulled ahead.  It was a great day for the Vikings and the fifth time that Whitman has won a regional championship.
