Bill Davis Service Station, Searcy AR. 210 W Race St.

This picture came from a 1962 high school year book.  We can certainly remember when there was a filling station on every corner....so it seemed.  The station took care of all our car needs.  Check your oil.  Wash your windows.  Be sure the tires have the right pressure.  Remember how they'd come out and ask, "Filler up?" 
We have two full service filling stations left in Searcy AR and I admit that one of my luxuries in life is to visit one of them.  This filling station is no longer here and was eliminated many years ago.  The location was 210 West Race.  Some of the Searcy Sleuths may remember who the man in front was.  I can remember a Bill Davis, builder, who started Colony West and built and sold many houses.  Was this the same Mr. Davis?
Things do change...............rapidly.  Wish I could read how much the gas price was.
