The front of the house looked too vanilla, and the natural wood front door didn't provide enough contrast. The three brass light fixtures looked dated on this 1999 home, and there wasn't enough color or greenery to enhance the front door area. The sellers were on a tight budget so we gave them our cost-effective suggestions ~ and they did a great job implementing them!
 
After… The front door color was changed to SW Tricorn Black 6258 in a semi-gloss finish, and the brass kickplate was removed; the garage door trim was also painted to add depth and tie it to the front door. The three light fixtures were replaced with inexpensive options from a big-box store; and the brass house numbers were painted black, allowing them to stand out. Finally, three pots of greenery were placed near the front door, making it more inviting to buyers.
 
 
With these small changes, the house quickly looks and feels more expensive to potential buyers, but the cost was very reasonable. ... more
