Waters Edge, hidden gem
Nestled away off the beaten path in northeast Pasco County is the award winning community of
Waters Edge. Built around the 78-acre Little Moon Lake - it is made up of  879 single family homes and 58 townhomes.
The community is east of New Port Richey between U.S. 19
and the Suncoast Parkway and offers a variety of home sizes and styles, along with a fabulous pool and clubhouse. Residents love the location because they are minutes to the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, yet close to shopping, schools, new medical facilities and entertainment!
The Waters Edge/Moon Lake area has a rather interesting past - it sits on part of the former Moon Lake Gardens and Dude Ranch that opened in 1937. Calling itself a "Sportsman's Paradise and Show Place for All Lovers of Outdoor Life in Florida" it offered a rustic lodge built out of cypress trees, cabins, a dance hall, 5,000 fenced acres stocked with deer, wild turkeys, quail and pheasants, along with a fish hatchery in the lake.
