When you are searching for a new home, attending open houses can be a valuable tool. Open houses are your chance to gather information, whether it's about the particular home you are in but also about the home buying process in general. If you currently don't have an agent that you are working with, it is a good opportunity to see how the agent holding the open house operates and you can see what he or she can offer you.
