Senator Cruz to Vote for Trump for President
News broke late this afternoon that Ted Cruz will announce by Saturday (September 24) that he has decided to vote for Donald Trump in the November election.
Cruz was the last candidate to drop out of the Republican primary contest.  He was unable, at the time, to get past the more personal remarks that characterized the blood sport process of the difficult primary season.  Cruz is a staunch defender of the US Constitution and was highly regarded as the true Conservative in the primary races.  I personally believe that Cruz had a carefully scripted plan to win the Presidency and Trump's entering the contests and replacing Cruz as the outsider in the primaries was an unanticipated disappointment for the Texas Senator. 
He initially did not support Trump at the Republican Convention but, with the passage of time, he has apparently come around.  At this point, I have only heard that Cruz will vote for Donald Trump.  I am not saying that that vote will come with any further gestures of support.  But Senator Cruz has certainly seen the view of the future of the Constitution under a Hillary administration.
