Hurricane Matthew - Florida is In State of Emergency
The best way to deal with a hurricane is to be prepared. 
As hurricane Matthew slams into Haiti destroying much of the country with high winds and tons of rain... this is a storm to take seriously. 
Matthew is the strongest storm this decade. Raging on he was downgraded from a Category 5 to  a high Category 4 ( by a whopping 5 MPH I might add) with winds of 145 MPH. 
We hope this storm moves to the east as it moves over the Caribean islands. 
However, Governor Scott issued a state of emergency for Florida and is urging the east coast of Florida to be prepared.  This image is from NASA.

Brevard county is now on a hurricane watch. 
The bad part about these storms is not just the wind gusts but the rain it pours down.
Also, tornadoes spin off of hurricanes.  
Florida can't take any more inches of rain. 
Lake Okeechobee is already full. Flooding is likely in areas. So be cautious.
