Thankful That I have Learned the Game of Golf
Next April, I will celebrate 55 years of playing the game of golf.  It is not a game that appeals to all, but for those that do attempt to play, it can be quite frustrating and still pleasurable.
My very first set of clubs were given to me on my birthday, and my parents bought them with the stash of S & H green stamps we had buried in a cupboard.  They are still buried away in my basement, needing just new grips and a thorough cleaning to be usable although not quite to current design standards.
For me, it is a way of stress relief combined with my exercise.  I am not one to take  riding cart so that when I play a game of golf, I will walk the course, which allows me to also play better as I am more focused.  
In my previous career, it was a great way to get to know my clients,and on more than one occasion I have had to play customer golf.  With the traveling I had to do, I had the opportunity to play on some of the best golf courses in our country, on a very generoos expense account.  That is not anything I have the opportunity to do now.
