Slow Down...
I know all too well how crazy this time of year can be.
I remember when my boys were little and how I had to have everything perfect.
I would run myself ragged trying to get it all done. And be so stressed out that I wouldn’t even enjoy the holidays.
I remember one Christmas eve having what seemed like a nervous breakdown when I realized I had forgotten to take the Turkey out of the freezer the day before and it was solid as a rock.
I burst into tears knowing for sure that Christmas was ruined and it was all my fault. All was not lost when I realized that Safeway was open and had turkeys that were already thawed.
Now that my kids are grown and have lives of their own, I realize that they really don’t remember any of the behind the scenes trauma I was going through in my quest to be the perfect mom.
