Wineries in South Santa Clara County (Gilroy)
Why travel north to the traditional wine country of California when you can take a short trip to Gilroy and experience our local wine growers.  Gilroy is rich in wonderful wineries and their wine tasting rooms.  Most of the wineries are on Hecker Pass Road so there is the convenience factor. 
Many of these wineries have also won awards for their wines, and are pretty well known.  Save the gas and gas money and while you are at it, join their wine club for their monthly offerings.
