I joined the ActiveRain community and published my first post on the 21st of May 2008.
I have learned quite a few things about marketing, the internet and real estate technology from the members of this community. Many similar sites have come and gone over the years, but this one has survived by reason of the depth of knowledge and dedication of its members.
Having practiced law for over 25 years, the topics which I chose for my blogs were largely “legal issues” relating to real estate.
By the time I had written about 20, I thought that I was about done. Then, suddenly there were 10 more, and 10 more and 10 more and…..
I then took groups of 50 on a particular topic and consolidated them somewhat. That became a three hour real estate course which I taught to real estate agents throughout Ontario. I now have 20 real estate courses!
In addition, as the popularity of the courses increased I was approached to offer testimony in Court as an Expert Witness. That field of activity now occupies a healthy percentage of my time.
