Would you like to see a sneak peek of the floats that will appear at the 128th annual Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena on Monday, January 2, 2017.    You can see work in progress by professional float builders at the Rose Palace and the Rose Bowl(Rosemont Pavilion and Brookside Pavilion).
 
Since a requirement of the floats in this parade dictates that only “natural” materials(flowers, trees, seeds and the like) be used, the combination of time and freshness means a lot of last minute work is necessary.   
 
The Rose Palace is located at 835 South Raymond Avenue.  Brookside Pavilion is located on the south side of Rose Bowl Stadium and Rosemont Pavilion can be found at 700 Seco Street.    Rose Palace is open for viewing starting today through January 1 while the two pavilions at the Rose Bowl continue until December 31. This yearly event plus the at the Rose Bowl later that afternoon where University of Southern California will meet Penn State puts the city of Pasadena on worldwide view.
