Like many you may have made New Year's Resolutions. Are you are trying to lose weight, get organized, grow your business, be more kind, spend more time with your family. If so, you are not alone.  According to statisticbrain.com, 45% of American's usually make resolutions.  The sad thing is that just 8% of those folks are successful at it.  
 
Why? 
 
A resolution is a "firm decision to do or not do something".
Many of us start out firm in our decision.  The gym's are packed, donations to organizations like goodwill are high, friends talk of how proud they are of their commitment (for the first week or two). The issue with a resolution is that often it is based on a big picture idea.  For example, "I will lose weight in 2017".  If that goal is not broken down into action steps, you will likely find yourself the same weight on Jan 1, 2018, or maybe even heavier.   What will you do when you feel lazy, or tired or sick?  How will you keep yourself motivated?  What makes it go beyond a "firm decision"?
